World leading oil and gas company BP has given Garic the official seal of approval for its innovative welfare vans. Garic, the UK and Europe’s biggest supplier of welfare facilities to the construction, renewable energy and power sectors, is delighted to be the only UK supplier to be awarded this recognition.
Approved to provide welfare vehicles for any BP location, including garage forecourts and petrochemical sites, Garic will be helping the fuel giant not only meet but exceed its welfare obligations.
All Garic welfare cabins are Type Approved and comply with the latest CDM regulations. With seating for up to 7 workers, kitchens, flushing toilets, sinks, showers, 12v and USB charging points and overhead storage they are the most popular brand on the market.
“We are over the moon to have BP’s endorsement,” commented director Neil Richardson. “We may have won many accolades for our welfare products over the years but we never rest on our laurels. To have such positive feedback from an industry leader like BP is fantastic.”
In recent months Garic has also achieved a Silver level accreditation from the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) which helps fleet operators monitor vehicle safety, fuel efficiency and emissions. In addition, the company has fitted cameras to all vehicles operating in London so that they are CLOCS compliant. The CLOCS standard aims to improve road safety by encouraging the construction logistics industry to work together in protecting pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and other road users.
Neil Richardson concludes: “These schemes and accreditation’s help us benchmark our progress and demonstrate our commitment to getting things right.”
“Continuous improvement is embedded in our business culture whether that’s listening to our clients’ challenges and responding with upgrades to products and services, or meticulously monitoring every aspect of our operations at each depots, onsite or on the roads.”
